With the summer holidays rapidly approaching our “Kids do gardens” area is managed by a leading expert, who has spent a long career teaching young child, and has developed a broad range of tried and tested activities to keep your children entertained, educated and engaged within a garden setting.


A leading expert in crop nutrition was on hand to demonstrate deficiency symptoms caused by a lack of twelve different plant nutrients.

A great demonstration of our Climate Smart Food Waste Composting was given to visitors to the Hub. Monitoring changes in temperature and pH of the compost during the 6-8 week composting process we can advise on adjustments to the proportions of base materials being composted. This ensures an optimal C:N ratio for each stage of the process.
